Honest Zuma ... Makosi Musambasi

RELATED STORIES

BIG Brother star Makosi Musambasi claims that ALL African men have polygamous tendencies, and hails South African President Jacob Zuma as an “honest man” for marrying three wives.

Makosi said: “People are up in arms because Jacob Zuma has married a third wife.

“For me, a third wife is better than a concubine ... all married African men have a concubine, and we should be thankful that some are just honest about it, like Zuma.”

Zuma married his third wife two weeks ago, and his office revealed he had paid bride price for a fourth woman.

Traditionalist Zuma was blasted by women’s groups and health campaigners who say polygamy degrades women and his polygamous marriages are hindering an HIV/Aids campaign for men to keep a single partner and reduce promiscuity.

But Zuma’s supporters say polygamy is part of Zulu tradition, and insist the President has done nothing wrong.

Makosi told New Zimbabwe.com: “I dont know how to say this without upsetting someone, but few married African men can stand up and claim they have never cheated.

“In Zimbabwe, they actually have a name for the second or third wife – ‘small house'. It’s a poor attempt to disguise or sanitise polygamy.

“This is why we should support Zuma for being an honest man, and refusing to brand his lovers ‘small houses’ or some other such terms.

“It is something that needs looking at why African men are incapable of loving one woman.

“Morgan Tsvangirai had two women before Susan left us, God bless her soul. Nelson Mandela started off with Graca before he finished with Winnie, and Robert Mugabe had Grace before Sally died.

“So the moral indignation over Zuma’s polygamy is a phoney protest. Let the African man who is without sin cast the first stone.”

While Makosi is a shameless attention seeking Z-list 'celebrity',on this issue she is spot-on,Men the world over are not satisfied with one woman, and there are women who are the same they are always 'looking'for mr 'right' that means a guy with cash ,Mugabe did it and married the 'small house'

I’m an African man & I do not believe in marriage! Why? Because it's a linear institution which is nothing but trouble when it comes to the “African” way of life. In my three decades on earth I have not seen any African man being faithful to one woman, including my own father. All my female relatives have been cheated on by their African husbands or partners at some point. All my male relatives have admitted (some even proud) of cheating on their wives or partners. I’ve seen homes & marriages break apart when the truth finally comes out & by God it always does. Crucify Makosi all you want for her comments, she is right! Zuma has ‘openly’ married more than woman based on Zulu tradition. I will not be surprised that some married women attacking Makosi on this thread have husbands cheating on them right now without knowing! Some even know, but are in denial. Truth & honest goes a long way.
