ESROM Nyandoro and Takesure Chinyama jetted into Harare on Tuesday and immediately joined the Warriors camp to prepare for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola at Rufaro on Sunday.

The pair was joined by Belgium-based Vusa Nyoni while the trio of Knowledge Musona, Archford Gutu and Noel Kaseke are expected Wednesday morning.

Captain Tapuwa Kapini will arrive Wednesday for an assessment by the medical team.

“Kapini will be assessed by the team doctor before a decision can be made. But one person who is not coming is Mike Temwanjira because of injury,” team manager Nyika Chifamba said.

The FC Vaslui player, who last featured for the Warriors back in 2008, has been side lined by a calf injury.

All locally-based players were in camp by Monday and were joined by Botswana-based Arnold Chaka, Brian Abbas Amidu from Black Leopards and Moroka Swallows’ Oscar Machapa.

The Highlanders trio of Peter “Rio” Moyo, Innocent Mapuranga and Ariel Sibanda was joined by George Chigova and Denver Mukamba of Dynamos alongside the Castle Premiership’s top goal-scorer Nelson Maziwisa of Shabanie Mine and Hwange’s Rodwell Chinyengetere.

FC Platinum’s Donald Ngoma and the Motor Action pair of Passmore Bernard and Marlon Jani were in on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Angola News Agency (Angop) reports that Cyprus-based midfielder Gilberto will join the national team in South Africa, where they are preparing, on Thursday.

He has been held up in Cyprus after his team played a league match on Monday. Angola coach Gustavo Ferrin last week called up a 23-man squad made up of 16 locally-based players and seven internationally-based stars.

The Angola match is the last hurdle on the road to the finals to be held in South Africa next year.
