THE industrial index opened the week in the negative territory losing 0.37 points to close at 167.99 points weighed down by losses in Fidelity and Delta.

Fidelity eased a cent to close at eight cents while Delta lost 0,99 cents to 109 cents. Padenga also slipped 0,25 cents to trade at nine cents.

Afdis and Pearl were the only counters to trade in the positive gaining two cents and 0,09 cents to close at 44 cents and 2,70 cents respectively.

Turnover for the day stood at $1, 062 million with foreign buys accounting for $496,000.

The resources index remained unchanged at 67.59 points with Bindura, Falgold, Hwange and RioZim remaining flat at 5,60 cents; 3,50 cents; seven cents and 15 cents in that order.
