Evolutionism claims that over billions of years everything is fundamentally developing upward, becoming more orderly and complex. However, this basic law of science (2nd Law of Thermodynamics) strongly affirms the opposite. The pressure is downward, towards chaos and disorder.

While I find it very necessary to respond to a counter article by my brother David Hofisi on his last week’s rebuttal of the existence of hard evidence proving existence of the Creator, I will, this week focus on the same subject but will wholesomely respond to the exact feeble claims made in the sanctimonious piece of writing next week.

Mr Hofisi, among other claims, stated that scientists like Isaac Newton were believers but never tried to use scientific discoveries to authenticate their beliefs.

Yes, they never did link their work to religion, but who said they should have used these discoveries to prove the existence of God when the evidence is all around to right-thinking people? That we have to go out of our way using Biblical evidence does not, in the slightest manner, take away the self-evident fact of the existence of God. One can take away the Bible and still come to the conclusion of a creator.

Even a Khoisan person lost in the depth of jungles, away from civilization, knew by a mere look of the earth’s outlay that an intelligent Designer exists, Even our ancestors in Africa who never knew the sophistries of science could decipher what Mr Hofisi, in his educated wisdom, is trying to refute.

The article by Hofisi is full of bigoted assumptions and selective postulating all meant to discredit the Creator in a manner that borders on intellectual criminality, but I digress.

Now, it is imperative here that we dissect a fundamental law that puts all debate to rest and indisputably shoots holes in the frivolity of evolutionism. Atheistic and evolutionistic philosophy is no different from a man who, lost in the thicket, in an uninhabitated jungle, comes across a brand new sparkling airplane, intact with all its physical components and gleaming embellishments and yet still insist that it assembled itself into existence.

Evolutionism presents just about one of the most facile arguments ever given to explain the universe; appearing neat and comprehensive only by overlooking the true complexities of an issue. Distinguished scientists have cautiously examined the most basic laws of nature to see if evolution is physically possible - given enough time and opportunity. The conclusion of many is that evolution is simply not feasible. A major problem that takes the fight off evolutionism is the very meaningful and imposing Second Law of Thermodynamics. This article consequently makes a case that atheism or evolutionism falls hard on its own argument that seeks to invoke naturalism. It must be put on record that nothing of evolution has been proved so far; hence, it remains nothing more than a theory despite spirited efforts to have it embraced as fact.

The Second Law of Thermodynamic

I will try to simplify the second Law of Thermodynamics to drive home the point of this writing. This law describes the basic principles seen in everyday life. It is a universal law of decay; the ultimate cause of why everything ultimately falls apart and disintegrates over time. Material things are not eternal. Everything appears to change eventually and chaos increases. Nothing stays as fresh as the day one buys it; clothing becomes faded, threadbare and ultimately returns to dust. Everything ages and wears out. Actually, death is a manifestation of this law. The effects of the second law are everywhere, touching everything, even the computer or cell phone that you are reading from. Nothing escapes this law. Each year, vast sums are spent to counteract the relentless effects of this law (maintenance, painting, medical bills plastering, etc). Everything in nature in nature is obedient to its unchanging laws. Second Law of Thermodynamics physicist, Lord Kelvin, stated it technically as follows: “There is no natural process the only result of which is to cool a heat reservoir and do external work.”

Put simply, this law observes the fact that the useable energy in the universe is becoming less and less not more and more. Stemming from this fact, we find that the most probable state of any natural system is one of disorder. All natural systems degenerate when left to themselves and this is an incontrovertible truth only contestable in the myopic world.

Whatever atheists will credit with creating the universe cannot possibly be an exception to this rule. Atheism, not religion, is actually frivolous and vexatious because if evolution had been true, there must be an extremely powerful force or mechanism at work in the cosmos that can steadily defeat the powerful, ultimate tendency toward ‘disarrangedness’ brought by the second law.

If such an important force or mechanism existed, it would seem it should be obvious to all scientists. Yet, the fact is, no such force of nature exists. No experimental evidence to date has disproved the second law of thermodynamics. Physicists G.N. Hatspolous and E.P. Gyftopoulous say: “There is no recorded experiment in the history of science that contradicts the second law or its corollaries…”

One may choose to plough through erudite volumes of science and biology and yet still find no recorded experiment to reverse this fundamental law. Evolution really poses a fallacious and facile explanation to the universe. Everything moves towards degeneration and not vice versa and this should be common sense. On the giddy contrary, evolutionism claims that overbillions of years everything is fundamentally developing upward, becoming more orderly and complex. However, this basic law of science (2nd Law of Thermodynamics) strongly affirms the opposite. The pressure is downward, towards chaos and disorder. Chaos and ‘disarrangedness’ is the normal state of things left alone and the universe is no exception.
Indeed, there is a Man above the clouds much as we may want to deny this through our frail human wisdom.
