Meet Zimbabwe's ugliest man
FANCY a free GOAT, an AXE and R1,500 in cash?

That could be all yours if you can drag your UGLIEST friend to Beitbridge on March 6 when other unsightly hopefuls from around the country compete for Mr Ugly 2010.

The bizarre prizes await the winner of this, eh ... unique pageant which is in its second year.

Organisers say interest in the pageant is intense, with 35 of Zimbabwe’s ugliest men already entered for the right to be known as Mr Ugly.

Dominic Gwatisira, the man behind the pageant, said: “You will realise that a number of pageants are centred on beautiful or curvy women and we, as the Mr Ugly crew, want to shift that mindset and have fun with ugly men from across the country.”

Gwatisira has plans to take his pageant to Bulawayo, Mutare, Masvingo and Gwanda, he told the Herald.

The pageant will be held at the Pagomo Heights in Beitbridge on March 6, with prizes for the top three ugliest Zimbabweans.

What a looker ... Ugly contest winners will get goat, axe and cash
