A 30-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo man has been charged with three counts of indecent exposure after a court heard he targeted women who fear he used mubobobo on them – a kind of magical power which enables a man to be intimate with a woman without their knowledge.
Mtami Mtami masturbated in front of the women who all began “having some feelings in their bodies”, the Sunday News reported.
Mtami, of Emakhandeni suburb, appeared at the Western Commonage Magistrates’ Court last week after angry residents made a citizen’s arrest and handed him over to the police.
Prosecuting, Fiona Denhere said the three women aged 19, 22 and 29 had been approached separately by Mtami who then lowered his zip, whipped out his willy and started masturbating.
As this was happening, “the women started to experience some feelings in their bodies”, the prosecutor said, suggesting he was being intimate with them from a distance.
The 22-year-old woman told investigators she was home in Emakhandeni on September 29 last year when Mtami came close to her yard.
While looking at her, he began masturbating. But the woman called out to neighbours, and Mtami fled.
In August this year, the court heard, Mtami invited himself into the home of the 29-year-old woman who was washing plates.
Without being aware of Mtami’s presence, the court heard, the woman “started having some feelings”. As she turned, she saw Mtami masturbating and he bolted out of the house.
The third alleged victim, a 19-year-old woman, told investigators she was sitting outside her home when she “started feeling something in her body”.
On turning around, she allegedly saw Mtami masturbating and looking in her direction.
The woman called some passersby and told them what had happened. This time they apprehended him and surrendered him to police.
Mtami will return to court on October 16 for the continuation of his trial.
