SCORES of people were left nursing injuries this Tuesday following clashes with police over entry into National Sports Stadium for the independence cup soccer final which pitied Dynamos against Highlanders.

The stadium was packed, resulting police to lock the gates but the football lovers would have none of it and tried to force their way into the stadium.

“When the Dynamos and Highlanders buses where allowed in a crowd of people waiting outside who had been shut out because the ground was full tried to push their way in.

“Police used force to disperse them leaving hordes injured," said an eye witness who requested anonymity.

Dynamos beat bitter rivals Highlanders to claim some $15,000 in prize money.
