TWO Bindura men have appeared in court charged with sodomy after they were caught in the act by their landlady.

Nigel Ruredzo, 28, and Shine Njawara, 29, pleaded guilty when they appeared before a Bindura magistrate.

The court heard that the incident occurred around 4:30 am on the 26th of November at a Bindura town house where Ruredzo and Njawara are tenants.

Prosecutors said the owner of the house, Patricia Chimange, and another tenant, Russell Makau, were awakened by strange noises emanating from the pair’s room.

Chimange and Makau, the court was told, entered the room and found the two being intimate.

The state outline indicates that Ruredzo assumed the role of a woman.

Makau is said to have subsequently assaulted them with a stick while the landlady administered a strong reprimand.

The two men were remanded in custody for trial on December 29.
