A TWISTED oddball who admitted having sex with a cow has been spared jail.
Jealous Matashu, 23, of Muchena Village in Tengwe, Mashonaland West, will perform 210 hours of community service after he had a 12-month prison sentence conditionally suspended by a Karoi magistrate.
Benjamin Negato, prosecuting, told the court how Matashu separated the white heifer from the rest of the herd just after 7AM on August 24 last month.
He drove the cow to a nearby tree and tied it before climbing it from behind to perform a sex act.
But Matashu’s luck ran out when the cow’s owner Henry Tandabute caught him in the act.
Karoi magistrate Elisha Singano said nothing would be gained from sending Matashu to jail and ordered him to carry out his community service at Marere Clinic in Tengwe.
