Zim man found hanged in Botswana police cell
By
Ryder Gabathuse The middle-aged man who was an illegal immigrant had been arrested on Wednesday in connection with a case of kiosk breaking and theft. Tatitown acting police station commander, assistant superintendent, Rodney Nkokwe said Thursday that his officers were investigating the case. Although the police agree that it is too early to conclude, they did not suspect foul play. According to Nkokwe, the man whose identity is unknown was detained overnight as part of their investigations into the kiosk breaking and theft. “We suspect he broke into the kiosk at Kajata lands and stole about P500,” Nkokwe said. The police indicated that the deceased was allegedly alone when he committed the offence. Chadibe village, which is a few kilometres west of Francistown has been swamped by an influx of illegal immigrants from Zimbabwe who enter the country in search of employment. Officer commanding
Francistown police district, Senior Superintendent, Boikhutso Dintwa
and his men are stretched to their limits because of the illegal aliens
who often claim to be abused by the local security forces. |
