CANADIAN police are charging a THIRD Zimbabwean man with aggravated sexual assault for failing to inform three sexual partners that he was HIV positive.

One of the women contracted the deadly virus which causes Aids.

Police in Toronto have appealed for more women to come forward after Lindani Msimanga, 29, became the third Zimbabwean national in a space of two years to face charges of exposing his sexual partners to the risk of contracting HIV.

Last year, Zimbabwean Tendai Mazambani, 24, was jailed for seven years in London, Ontario Canada, after he had unprotected sex with EIGHT women.

On Wednesday this week, a judge will deliver sentence in the case of session musician Charles Kokanai Mzite, 36, who is accused of withholding his HIV status to four Canadian women. One of the women has tested positive for HIV.

Toronto police say "there is evidence to believe that Msimanga may have infected several other women”, and have asked them to come forward.

A trial date is yet to be set.
