KEVIN Ullyett capped a delightful double for Zimbabwe on Saturday when he won the Slazenger Open doubles title in Nottingham moments after Cara Black clinched the doubles title in the WTA Women's Championships Open in Eastbourne, England.

Ullyett and his doubles partner Bruno Soares (Brazil) saw off Britain's Jamie Murray and Jeff Coetzee (South Africa) 6-2 7-6 (7-5) in the final played indoors because of poor weather.

Murray won the title last year with Eric Butorac but could not repeat the feat after he and Coetzee got off to a poor start.

The South African was broken twice in the opening set, and although they matched Ullyett and Soares in the second, a net cord on match point helped the Brazil-Zimbabwe pair clinch the title.
