ZIMBABWE’S Cara Black and her American doubles partner Liezel Huber won their seventh women’s tennis doubles title in Montreal, Canada, on Sunday with the capture of the Rogers Cup.

The pair defeated the unseeded team of Maria Kirilenko and Flavia Pennetta in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.

Black and Huber, the number one ranked women’s doubles partnership, were the top seeds in the US$1,34 million hard-court tournament.

The tournament was the final preparation for Black who will represent Zimbabwe in the Beijing Olympic Games which get underway on August 8.

Black received a wildcard entry in the women’s singles. She has represented the country in the last two Olympic Games in Sydney and Athens – on both occasions failing to go past the second round.

Her 6-2, 6-2 defeat to Russia's Anastasia Rodionova in the first round of the Rogers Cup in the singles will not have helped her confidence going into the Olympics.
