HIGHLANDERS made sure of their progress to the second round of the African Confederations Cup on Sunday after limiting Ferroviario to a 1-0 win in the second leg of their preliminary round clash.

Highlanders led 3-0 from the first leg, and defended resolutely to maintain their advantage at the small Estádio do Nampula Stadium.

Highlanders defender Anzilom Ndlovu gifted the hosts a goal when he handled in the box in the 16th minute. Helder converted from the spot.

Highlanders took a commanding lead in the first leg with goals from Jacob Muzokomba, Richard Choruma and Eric Mudzingwa.
