2008 Premier Soccer League Fixtures

By Nkanyiso Moyo

IT’S early days, but the premiership title race continues full speed during the Easter holidays with most league teams playing at least twice, starting on Friday.

Highlanders and Dynamos, both active in Africa, will play a game each over the next week. That affects their designated opponents -- Lengthens, Eastern Lions and CAPS FC -- who will also see action only once.

Highlanders travel to Zambia where they play Green Buffaloes in the first round of Confederations Cup, and Dynamos are at home to Costa do Sol of Mozambique in the first round of the Champions League.

CAPS United, seeking to do themselves justice after a poor season last year, will be buoyed by the positive showing in their drawn season opener against champions Dynamos when they take on CAPS FC at Dzivarasekwa on Saturday.

Njube Sundowns, coming from a 4-0 scorching by Highlanders last weekend, play their first home game against Monomotapa at Pelandaba in Gwanda on Friday, while Motor Action are at home to Masvingo on the same day.

Also Friday, Shooting Stars face Kiglon, while another battle of the newboys between Underhill and Gunners takes place at Mucheke.
