WITH league leaders Highlanders and champions Dynamos inactive, Kiglon seized the opportunity and shot to the top of the CBZ Premier Soccer League on Saturday.

The league debutants posted their second win on the trot, beating Shooting Stars 1-0, before premiership new comers Gunners moved into second after beating Underhill 2-1 on Sunday.

Both teams have six points from two games, with Chapungu third after being held to a 0-0 draw at home by Eastern Lions.

CAPS FC moved into fourth, picking a point against rivals CAPS United, who dropped into 10th place.

Njube Sundowns moved off the bottom, winning 2-1 against Monomotapa on Saturday, as Masvingo suffered their second defeat in a row after falling
2-0 to Motor Action, piling the pressure on coach Taurayi Mangwiro.

Highlanders and Dynamos were inactive over the weekend due to their participation in the Confederations Cup and the Champions League respectively. Both
progressed to the next round.

On Wednesday this week, Highlanders were travelling to Harare for a date with Lengthens at Gwanzura. On Thursday, Dynamos were taking on Lancashire Steel at the same venue.
