WITH Dynamos and Highlanders stuttering, Premier League newcomers Kiglon continued to upset the normal order of things with their fourth straight win on Saturday.

Kiglon’s latest victims, Moses Chunga’s Lengthens, were overwhelmingly subdued 3-1.

Brighton Pamhirwa, signed from Shabanie Mine, kept the Kiglon fairytale alive as he opened the floodgates on seven minutes. The striker turned Leo Kurauzvione inside out before firing past veteran goalkeeper Ephraim Mazarura.

Lengthens gained parity on 20 minutes from the penalty spot after Billard Muchenje handled. Solomon Nyagwaya finished the servings.

Then it was the Tawanda Nyamandwe show. He struck his first, and Kiglon’s second, on the half hour and completed his brace in the 73rd minute with a flashing header.

Champions Dynamos laboured to their third unconvincing draw against Maronga Nyangela's Masvingo United at Gwanzura Stadium, a result whose blow was immediately softened by Highlanders’ equally slow start to the season.

Dynamos were in front on 53 minutes through the prolific Edward Sadomba, but Under 20 international Ovidy Karuru converted an Andrew Raelo corner in the 79th minute to draw Masvingo level, and that’s how it ended.

The champions’ main rivals, Highlanders, having also managed just one win, walked into an ambush at Baghdad Stadium in Kwekwe, and only Cuthbert Malajila’s sharp shooting prevented a humiliating defeat.

Tafadzwa Mombeshora unloaded his fire power first, and got the break through when Washington Arubi’s defence was breached on 35 minutes.

Back came Highlanders, and in Malajila, they have a prolific marksman with an astounding variety in his arsenal. The premiership’s leading goal scorer last year while at Chapungu, Malajila struck four minutes before the hour – the goal his fifth in the premiership this season.

Underhill got their first ever premiership point on Saturday after a 1-1 draw with Motor Action, the win coming just days after they fired their coach, Lindile Dube.

Daniel Chakupe opened the scoring for Motor Action, but they ran out of steam at the death and Tendai Mukumbi capitalised for the Mavingo-based team.

Njube Sundowns downed Independence Trophy winners Shooting Stars 3-0 at Pelandaba.

Patrick Tom thrust the home team ahead from the penalty spot on 39 minutes; Thabani Kamusoko added another on the stroke of halftime before Evans Chikwayikwayi finished off the match in the 90th minute.

At Ascot, Chapungu handed Norman Mapeza his fourth defeat in a row, as his Monomotapa were whipped 3-0. Phillip Marufu, Lee Chirimanzi and Pascal Shonhiwa were on target.

CAPS FC and Gunners drew 1-1 in Harare.
