ZIMBABWEAN champions Dynamos crashed out of the African Champiopns League after slumping to a 4-0 semi-final second leg drubbing by Coton Sport of Cameroon on Saturday.

Coton Sport were leading 1-0 from the first leg at Rufaro, for a 5-0 aggregate win over the two legs.

The Cameroonians will meet Egyptian champions and favourites Al Ahly in the final. Ahly beat Nigerian club Enyimba 1-0 in the other semi-final after the two teams drew the first leg 0-0.

Dynamos, needing to score twice to proceed to their firt final in 10 years, saw their problems double as early as the opening minute when defender Ndzana Kana gave the hosts the lead.

Dynamos battled to regain control by dominating a good part of the first half without, however, worrying their opponents.

Coton Sport surged further ahead six minutes after the breather through Jacques Zoua.

From that moment, the match lost all its attraction with Dynamos resigned to defeat, leaving Coton Sport to run around them in neat clever little patterns.

Dynamos were carved open in brutal fashion twice more by Kamilou (65th min) and then Ousmaila Baba late on.

Coton Sports Coach Franco-Ivorian Alain Oumbléon Guédo said "the players followed the advice given by the technical staff particularly not to fail by overconfidence since we won the first leg."

According to him, "that’s why even after 2, 3, or 4-0 we continued attacking".

"After a break, we need to get back to work in order to prepare for the final that will not be an easy task", he concluded.

Coton Sport will face Al Ahly in the final to be played ocver two legs. The first leg will be played either on 31 October or 1 November while the return leg will take place between 14 and 15 November in Cameroon.
