DYNAMOS were in turmoil three matches into the new season after they slumped to a disastrous 2-0 defeat to Premiership newcomers Railstars in Bulawayo.

The future of coach Luke Masomere was in doubt after the interim Dynamos executive held an emergency meeting as the former league champions found themselves rooted on the unfamiliar 11th spot.

Dynamos slumped to a 4-2 defeat to the premiership’s whipping boys Zimbabwe Saints at the start of the season. They briefly recovered to beat Sporting Lions 3-0 before the latest setback which will set alarm bells ringing at the Harare giants.

Masomere’s fate appears to have been sealed by two wonder strikes from former Under 23 national team striker Njabulo Ncube who struck 20 minutes into the match before wrapping it up six minutes after the restart.

Ncube could have grabbed a hatrick as his goal bound header on the hour mark was parried against the post by Tendai Tanyanyiwa in goals for the Glamour Boys.

Masomere’s cause was not helped by indiscipline in the team which robbed them of midfielder Francis Chandida who boycotted training and only emerged on Wednesday when the team was travelling to Bulawayo.

Chandida did not play in Dynamos’ Caf Confederations Cup engagement last weekend because he is ineligible after being registered by AmaZulu in a different continental tournament.

Dembare beat Savanne Sporting Club from Mauritius 3-0 to storm into the next round of the tournament.
