| Makosi nicked by UK cops over visa breach By Showbiz
Reporter The 24-year-old Zimbabwean nurse who starred in the UK hit reality TV show was pulled over by cops for not wearing a seat belt before immigration officials were wrapped in to investigate a possible breach of her visa terms. "I don't know what crime I have committed," the Sun newspaper quoted her as saying. "I'd love to keep living in England, but I just don't know what's happening. "I feel I have been used as entertainment and now am being betrayed." Makosi was a passenger in her sister's car when she was pulled over for what the police termed a "driving matter". It emerged she wasn't wearing a seat belt. A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Police stopped a car on the M25 near Stoke D'Abernon at 5pm on Monday on a driving matter. "A 24-year-old Zimbabwean was then questioned by the immigration services which is now dealing with the matter." Reports say Makosi spent close to FIVE hours in police custody. Makosi has always feared she may be deported after she left her nursing job to go into the Big Brother after she could not secure leave from her employers. Legal experts say she breached the terms of her work permit and the UK authorities are entitled to remove her from the UK. Last
Saturday, Makosi was mobbed by Zimbabweans at the Miss Zimbabwe UK beauty
pageant at the Tottenham Leisure Centre. She looked more than happy
as she hugged and planted kisses on strangers before telling the cheering
crowd: "I'm excited to be here." |
