British hit reality show heads for Africa

By Showbiz Reporter

ZIMBABWEAN Big Brother star Makosi Musambasi has been given notice by immigration officials to quit Britain, she said today.

The 24-year-old Zimbabwean has had her working visa curtailed after leaving her job as a cardiac nurse to appear on the reality show.

She now has 10 days to lodge an appeal. If it fails, she must leave the country or face being deported.

Makosi was quizzed by police yesterday after she was stopped on a driving matter.

She was then questioned by immigration officials over whether she had broken the terms of her visa.

Makosi had previously been granted a working visa for her job as a cardiac nurse at Wycombe Hospital, Bucks.

Her spokesman said: “The legal position is that Makosi’s working visa has now been curtailed, which means she has to either leave the country or appeal.”

Makosi had consulted an immigration lawyer as soon as she left the Big Brother house, he added.

Makosi, who finished third in the reality show, told The Sun newspaper that she felt “betrayed” after she was released from custody.

She said: “I don’t know what crime I’ve committed. I’d love to keep living in England but just don’t know what’s happening.

“I feel I’ve been used for entertainment and now am being betrayed.”
