Hotel chain boss in lesbian sex shocker By Godfrey
Mutimba Chirove, 53, owns a chain of lodges and galleries in Masvingo province. She appeared before magistrate Esther Muremaba. The woman alleged to have been abused was once employed as a secretary at Jazz Place Lodge, one of Chirove’s lodges. The court heard that Chirove, who is married to a top United Nations official working in South Africa, Isaac Chirove, forced the young girl to have sex with her for about a year. For the State, Elson Chabarika, said between March 2006 and February this year, Chirove sexually abused the woman by fondling her breasts, licking and inserting her fingers as well as a vibrator into her reproductive organs without her consent. The court was told that on an unspecified date during the same period, Chirove misled the girl into believing that there was a party at her home in Rhodene low-density suburb. On arrival at the house, the girl said she noticed there was no-one else in the house and asked Chirove where the guests were. She said Chirove told her she wanted her help in preparing for the party before the guests arrived. The state alleges Chirove then led the girl to her bedroom where she locked the door immediately after the girl had entered. She then dipped her hands into a traditional clay pot besides her bed and instructed the girl to do the same. Chirove then allegedly ordered the girl to open a calabash, where there was a strange creature, about 45cm tall, "hairy like a baboon, and looked like a human being". Chirove is alleged to have then ordered the girl not to tell anyone about the incident, lest the creature followed her home. She then ordered the girl to undress and lie on the bed on her back. Chirove allegedly started caressing her, kissing and telling her that she wanted to teach her a French kiss. She allegedly fondled the girl, and pulled and licked her private parts. After that, Chirove allegedly inserted her fingers, a vibrator and another artificial male reproductive organ into the girl’s private parts. The court heard that after abusing the girl, Chirove offered her money, perfume, sweets, chocolates and pornographic videos to watch at home. She was also given Chirove’s photographs. The photographs, empty perfume containers and pornographic videos would be used as evidence, the court was told. The girl reported the case to the police in February, leading to the hotelier’s arrest. Chirove, a member
of the Hotel Association of Zimbabwe was remanded out of custody to
11 June this year. - Standard |
