ZIMBABWE'S Deputy Mines and Environment Minister Tinos Rusere has died, state radio said Friday night.

Rusere, 62, was the Zanu PF Zaka East MP at the time of his death.

The deputy minister was said to have died on Thursday night at a local hospital after he was admitted with an undisclosed ailment.

Rusere was not affected by a recent mini-cabinet reshuffle announced by President Robert Mugabe.

Prior to his appointment at the Mines Ministry, the ruling party member was
the Deputy Minister for Rural Resources and Water Development.
