NEW ZIMBABWE.COM SAYS

UK readies for Miss Zimbabwe UK 2005

ARE you young, beautiful and confident?

Zimbabwe needs you!

After last year's Miss Zimbabwe UK contest was won by a Ghanaian and a South African runner-up, New Zimbabwe.com is leading a crusade to reclaim the contest for Zimbabweans.

Our readers can today take the challenge and submit their applications to the organisers of the event which takes place on the sidelines of the ZimExpo business exhibition in London later this month.

New Zimbabwe.com led the way last year in exposing the scandal of foreigners selected to pose as our most beautiful girls on the island of Great Britain.

We forgave the organisers because it was the first time they had organised the event. Not this time, largely because New Zimbabwe.com readers will not allow it to happen.

The ZimExpo exhibition started in the United States of America two years ago and came to Britain last year. Organisers say it is a market place for Zimbabwean businesses intending to showcase their products.

But the highlight of the event has become the Miss ZimUK beauty pageant. This year's ZimExpo is taking place at the Alexandra Palace, Wood Green, in north London on the weekend of 27/28 August.

There are several ways for our readers to reclaim the title for Zimbabweans.

You can:

Call or e-mail the organisers (call 0779 627 4591 or e-mail Patience at personaltouch@pixie.co.za or Tich at tich@zimexpo.com) and submit your photo and brief CV, and remember to confirm you are ZIMBABWEAN.

Encourage your Zimbabwean friend with the looks to be a true princess for our beautiful country to submit their photo and CV.

Write an e-mail to the organisers with the clear message that you will disown winners who are NOT Zimbabwean.

Attend the event and make sure Zimbabwe is spared the embarassment of last year.

WE DO THIS BECAUSE WE CARE! NO MORE EXCUSES!
