FOR aspiring models and artists, finding the right people or platform to enter and showcase your talent has been a problem. Until now.

A new dispensation that is set to turn the Zimbabwean showbiz scene in the Diaspora on its head is being launched this year by ZimXpose.

ZimXpose is part of Xpose international brand. Xpose focuses on identifying and developing talent in the sphere of modeling, dance, music, drama, poetry, script writing and filming.

It caters for talent scouting, grooming and in helping young people get organised as business people and arm them with the necessary skills and tricks needed to survive in today’s showbiz industry.

"It is unique in that it is a mix of talent and an exciting opportunity for the people in different arts to meet and network," says Chris Masikati, a spokesman for Xpose.

He added: "Xpose will interest any aspiring artist, model and business person frustrated by the lack of opportunities for them in the mainstream. This opportunity is there for models and artists to take advantage of the massive networking, marketing and media coverage."

He revealed that Xpose would soon be holding road shows across the United Kingdom in conjunction ZimExpo to select finalists for this year's Miss Zimbabwe UK competition later in August.

He added: "As Tyra Banks moulds those girls into America’s Top Models - Makosi is here to make you a beauty queen, so get joining….”

The road shows will begin in April, in places like Edinburgh, Leeds, Birmingham, Luton and Southend.

"These road shows will culminate in two finals in August and October. The Miss Zimbabwe UK finals for models will be held in conjunction with ZimExpo in August whilst the music finals dubbed Zimbabwe Urban Music Awards – will be held separately in October 2006."
