Brita has a baby girl

By Showbiz Reporter

RESERVE Bank governor Gideon Gono's old flame Brita Masalethulini has become a mother at the age of 28, New Zimbabwe.com can reveal.

The former Miss Zimbabwe and Miss Malaika winner on Tuesday moved to dispel rumours that the child could be Gono's.

Maseluthulini confirmed the baby's father was Harare businessman Tongai
Kasukuwere, younger brother to Zanu PF’s Mount Darwin South MP and Deputy Minister of Youth Development and Employment, Saviour Kasukuwere.

In an exclusive interview with New Zimbabwe.com, Brita revealed she had given birth to a bouncing baby girl "a couple of weeks ago.”

Brita, who now works for Phillip Chiyangwa’s property firm, Pinnacle Properties, said: “Please understand I need my private life. I need some quiet, but it’s not Gono’s kid. It’s Tongai Kasukuwere’s daughter."

Brita said she was currently on maternity leave.

She addded: “I am trying to get my private life back. Please understand."

On Monday, Kasukuwere supported Brita’s claims that he is the father.

Asked if he was the father, he replied: “I think that is rather a rude question. I am not a celebrity. She is my daughter."

Last year, New Zimbabwe.com revealed that smitten trousersnake, Gono, was having an affair with Brita, which was known to his wife Hellin.
