DJ Cleo set to drop Mzekezeke bombshell
By
Staff Reporter DJ Cleo, the producer who launched Mzekezeke to stardom with his first two albums Sguqa Ngamadolo and Istorotoro, YFM's Rudeboy Paul and Metro FM's Glen Lewis paid a flirting visit to the recently launched internet radio station Afro Sounds FM before being whisked off to Club Afrique for the pre-show party. The three DJs took calls from the station's listeners, before they all broke into a sing-along to Oliver Mtukudzi's Todii. "The London weather is unbearable, but it will be hot in Stratford tomorrow when the party begins," Rudeboy, the more vocal of the three told Afro Sounds' Ezra "Tshisa" Sibanda. Rudeboy might be the most talkative but he was caught unawares and seemed to stutter when a caller started flirting with him live on air. "You have a nice voice," the caller said. "Forgive me if I sound rude but are you as good looking as your voice sounds," she pressed. After gaining his composure, Rudeboy said: "I am ready to play."
In an exclusive interview with New Zimbabwe.com last night, DJ Cleo said he would be dropping a bombshell about "me and Mzekezeke". It is thought that he will be announcing that he is no longer producing for the masked kwaito star, a development which is set to shock their fans. Sources say Mduduzi Masilela is now producing for Mzekezeke. He was non-committal last night when we asked him: "The people will know tomorrow. Those who will be in Stratford will hear it first hand." The
show's promoters say they will be giving away
return air tickets to South Africa and free CDs to lucky party goers. |
