Zimbabwean gospel star Sandra Karanda has reportedly signed a $100 000 record deal in the Atlanta Georgia, United States. Our readers were quick on their keyboards to hail her breakthrough, and many were equally keen to draw parallels between Karanda and Big Brother star Makosi Musambasi recently outed as a hooker and alcohol abuser. Here are some of your comments:

Editor -- Sandy has done it! This woman is putting Zimbabwe on the map. I heard her song on radio, it was nice hearing Shona ichi ridzwa mu America.

That girl Makosi needs to learn from Sandy. Sandy is a woman doing something positive for our country...she is not afraid to step out and be an African, it's good to see that! Makosi should learn from this woman of God.

Is Sandy married though? If she is not yet married, I hope she gets a man who really deserves her because it will take a powerful man to be with such
a strong and confident woman. I envy her as a woman. I wish I had the same guts that she has.

Congratulations for the success Sandy. You have made us so proud. I wish
you more years to come because I know nothing can stop you. You are beautiful inside and outside and thats a rare gift.

Makosi doesn't even have the looks and she sleeps around!. Sandy has the looks and she could have been in the sircular world using her beauty, but instead she is doing something good and has morals. I hope to meet her one day because she inspires me.

Editor -- Victory for one of our own! Sandy Karanda was announced pa radio kuno kuti she signed a US$100 000 record deal with a major label ku Atlanta Georgia.

I heard her song Jesu Fambai Neni played on the radio kunoku and I couldn't believe it. She is truly blessed. She is scheduled to sing at an opening for Mary Mary, one of the biggest gospel groups here in the States.

Editor -- Pamberi na Sandy, pasi na Makosi!

I heard Sandy's song being played pa radio kunoku ku States and
information that she has signed a deal for US$100,000. That's a lot of money akomana.

This is success for all ma Zimbabweans, lets celebrate with this girl. Makosi could learn one or two things from Karanda.

Good job guys, I like your paper. I just wish you published more on our more positive stars like Sandy instead of the likes of Makosi.

(We have always supported Zimbabweans who have made it in foreign countries and we will continue to do so. Need I remind you that we were the first publication to actively support Karanda's career and her Yamurai Children's Foundation initiative? -- Editor)

Editor -- You guys ka, you make it public news of Makosi, taking up all the space pa New Zimbabwe.com...you put her on the cover and everything for something so disgusting and bad when we have other Zimbabweans like Sandra who deserve the glory, that is just not fair...inda so?

Why are you guys ignoring some of the positive things that are being done by some of our sister kuno like Sandy? I love reading your paper, but when I see a deserving artist not being supported like this, it makes me wonder.

Sandy got a record deal and I havent heard anyone support her. That's just not fair.

Editor -- Keep up the great work. Today we celebrate Sandy Kay's success after she got a record deal. We are so proud of this sister, she should keep up the great work.

You guys should do a story on Sandy vs Makosi at the same time, I think it will sell big time. GOOD VS EVIL...How the two use their mouths, Sandy singing for God and Makosi giving strangers bl***** for a living.

A lot of people keep seeing all this negative stuff being put on the cover of New Zimbabwe.com about how bad Makosi is doing and the good are not getting enough credit. How about putting the two on the front page at the SAME time and allow us to draw comparisons?

EXPOSE THE TWO AT THE SAME TIME: A woman of class and a woman who will do anything to get famous.

Above all this, the good news is that Sandy is doing good things representing us and she should get the credit.

(As you may have noticed on our home page, you made today's headline -- Editor)

Editor -- Woow, thats some big news. Her song Hallelujah that she did a video
for was played on one of the radio stations before I went home. I started to scream hearing that song and just couldnt believe it, until the DJ announced her as a new artist from Zimbabwe.

Zvake shamwari. I wish she could come to our Church to sing or even
just come and make an appearance hake.
