THE Oliver Mtukudzi and Ringo Madlingozi road show rolls into Wolverhampton, England, on Friday and into London on Saturday as two of Southern Africa's leading artistes wind-up their UK tour.

The two played in front of a sell-out crowd in Milton Keynes on Saturday last week, a day after putting up a scintillating performance in Bradford.

Such was the demand for a ticket to the Milton Keynes show that promoters upped the ticket price from £25 to £40 at the door! And the people kept coming!

In between, Mtukudzi toured Scotland where he played in front of a mixed crowd which included university students.

Speaking to New Zimbabwe.com last weekend, Mtukudzi said the Scotland show was not driven by commercial interest but a desire to reach out to a small pocket of Zimbabweans based in Scotland.

Fungwa Mawarire, a spokesman for the promoters said last night: "We have two of the finest musicians in Africa and everyone agrees that we have the right mix in Ringo and Oliver. We expect Wolverhampton and London to be big."
