ZIMBABWE and Southern Africa's acclaimed musician, Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi flew into New Zealand Wednesday to record a soundtrack for a major film being produced here.

Accompanied by his wife, Daisy, Oliver arrived in NZ business capital Auckland Wednesday to start rehersals and recordings for the movie, whose title is yet to be decided. Mtukudzi appeared on "Nightline", the late night television news on New Zealands TV 3.

During the interview, Mtukudzi appeared relaxed and seemed to be enjoying every moment strumming on his accoustic guitar.

He showed Kiwi's the stuff that has made him famous in the whole of Southern Africa and beyond. Prior to his arrival in NZ, Mtukudzi had perfomed the previous weekend in Namibia with South African songbird Yvonne Chaka Chaka.

Mtukudzi finishes his NZ project over the weekend and is scheduled to depart NZ next Monday.
