Trooper paid pal to have sex with lover, then throttled her By Staff
Reporter Trooper, George Tayali, 28, paid a friend £100 and sent him to a brothel in Sandra Wiles' home town of Dorset to prove if his girlfriend was indeed a prostitute. Tayali, who protects the Queen at Windsor Castle, exploded when the friend called to confirm he had paid for sex with his lover, whose name at the brothel was 'Savannah'. He rang her and said: "You have just slept with my friend." Tayali confronted Wiles in her flat and police were called. He left and returned the next day, throttled his lover and left her lying naked on a duvet. Tayali denies murder but admits slaying his girlfriend due to provocation and diminished responsibility. Wiles was later found by police in her flat on Poole Quay, Dorset, with a note from Tayali beside her saying: "Police. In my defence I found out my girlfriend is a prostitute... PS I love this girl." Police believe he intended to kill himself too by jumping into Poole harbour. He couldn't, but instead tried to flee to Zimbabwe. He was arrested onboard a Zimbabwe-bound jet at Heathrow Airport, the jury was told. Prosecutor Nigel Seed said: "Officers found him sitting with his eyes closed." The trial continues. |
