Dad makes international appeal for wanted child killer By
Staff Reporter Donald Sibanda said finding justice for six-year-old Dumoluhle was “what I am living for now”. Dumoluhle died in 2004 after inhaling smoke in the house fire in Pound Hill, Crawley, West Sussex. Investigators said they had found evidence the fire was started deliberately. Sithole skipped Britain three days after the fire, headed for South Africa. British detectives also believe Sithole has frequently travelled between South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Sibanda said: "I was destroyed because of the death of my child. If I give up, I wouldn't have done my daughter any justice because to me that's what I am living for now.” Sibanda is disappointed authorities in South Africa and Zimbabwe have not detained Sithole, despite it being known that he has travelled between the two countries several times. Detective Chief Inspector Steve Johns of Sussex Police's major crime branch said the murder inquiry "remains an open case". He said there was an active investigation by British, African authorities and Interpol to track down and apprehend Sithole. He added: "Sussex Police are ready to take this case to court the moment George Champion Sithole is arrested and extradited back to the UK.” Sibanda said he retained hope that someone in South Africa or Zimbabwe will be able to tell them where to find Sithole, who was an ex-lover of Dumoluhle's aunt. The family has created a memorial website on which Dumoluhle’s mum, Sindi, writes: “When grief strikes, everybody says time is a great healer. Well, I now know through the loss of my beautiful daughter that time is no great healer for anything. “I have suffered such great loss, and have been told time and again that it gets easier with time. Not for me, each day I wake up and wonder what really went wrong. What wrong did I commit to deserve such punishment? “My life has been meaningless since that October day, and continues to make no sense at all. Everything that I seem to do hold no meaning whatsoever cause you are not here anymore my little one.” Anyone with
