HIGHLANDERS coach and former Zimbabwe youth international Methembe "Mayor" Ndlovu has been rewarded for turning Highlanders into a premiership force again.

Ndlovu was Tuesday appointed Warriors assistant coach in sweeping technical changes made by the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa).

Charles Mhlauri's second assistant is Under-23 coach, Misheck Chidzambwa who changed his name from Sunday Marimo.

Ndlovu and Chidzambwa replace Willard Mashinkila-Khumalo and David Mandigora who have since been redeployed in the new set-up.

The football governing body has also established a technical advisers committee which is composed of Sunday Chidzambwa, Swiss Marc Duvillard, Mandigora, Roy Barreto and Max Lunga Makanza.

Mashinkila-Khumalo will now assist Misheck Chidzambwa in the Young Warriors set-up.

As revealed here Monday, former Highlanders and Warriors coach Barreto will be responsible for monitoring Zimbabwean players in South Africa while Makanza will keep an eye on players in Europe.

Barreto is based in South Africa while Makanza is in Germany.

Zifa chairman Wellington Nyatanga said they were still to contact all those who had been appointed.

"This was just a resolution made by the Zifa board in a meeting held on Monday. We still have to officially tell those who have been appointed on the latest developments. But we are confident they would want to serve their country," said the former Blackpool official.
