ZIMBABWE beat South Africa 2-0 in their final qualifying-round of the Africa Nations Championships in Harare on Sunday to go through 3-0 on aggregate.

South Africa had gone down 1-0 to Zimbabwe in Atteridgeville in the first leg two weeks ago.

Zhaimu Jambo and Clement Matawu scored either side of the break, ensuring a bright return for the recently-reappointed coach Sunday Chidzambwa.

The CHAN Finals which only feature players from domestic African leagues are to be held in Ivory Coast next February.

In other results, Tanzania beat Sudan in the second leg of their final qualifying-round with a 2-1 away win. Tanzania won 5-2 on aggregate.

Ghana went through in Calabar after holding hosts Nigeria to a 0-0 draw, to take a 3-2 aggregate win. Zambia beat Angola 2-1 in Chililabombwe for a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Libya beat Morocco 3-0 in Tripoli, to qualify 4-3 on aggregate, with goals from Mohamed Zaabia, Ahmed al-Zawi and Ahmed Sadd.

Senegal beat Guinea 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out after a 1-0 home win in Dakar, making it 1-1 on aggregate.

DR Congo host Cameroon in Lubumbashi on Sunday, after a surprise 2-0 away victory in the first leg. - KickOff
