HOT on the heels of an enigmatic release of his latest single ‘She is Worth It’, a collaboration with Ghanaian Soul Healer, Sonni Balli, Zimbabwean Afro-pop sensation Kazz aka Mr Boomslang is going solo and working with Africa’s finest acts.

The single, dropped last week, is an African banger for the ladies and is currently making airwaves in the United Kingdom and topping the charts in Africa.

Sonni and Mr Boomslang had embarked on a four-year sabbatical that isolated their joint efforts from their usual eye-catching collaborations.

The last song they recorded together in December 2012 was the hot single, “So Fine” which received commendable airplay worldwide and helped propel their careers to the next level.

Mr Boomslang has gone further and notched up collaborations with Nigerian heavyweight rappers, JJC Skillz (founder and creator of Big Brovaz, and producer of D’banj), and Queen of Dance, Rozalla Miller.

Following the fame he has enjoyed in the UK after a ground breaking storm on to the music scene with famous sibling Bkay in 2005, they churned out another hit single "Ndikati Hello" with Urban Grooves artist, Decibel.

However, Mr Boomslang continues to push boundaries in his endeavour to pursue a solo career.

Not only is he focusing on his musical side but venturing into entrepreneurships which has seen him launch his budding clothing line and Digital Media production enterprise under the brand ‘Boomslang Production’.

His efforts and success are deeply rooted in his will to give his works a true home grown authentic feel that is purely Zimbabwean yet innovative.

Mr Boomslang: SHES WORTH IT

Speaking to NewZimbabwe.com, Mr Boomslang said: “I have come a long way and been working on individual projects but felt it was time for me to bring the fire back once more.

“In this latest song with Sonni, I tried to fuse certain elements from Margaret Singana’s hit song "We Are Growing" from the Shaka Zulu series, just give it a home feel and give my fans something they would enjoy listening to and be able to relate to”.

Meanwhile, the hit single will be part of the project Mr Boomslang is set to drop early next year featuring Sonni and Miller.

“I am highly convinced that this piece of work is a great album that my fans all over the world will enjoy listening to,” Mr Boomslang conceded.

Known for his raw energy and magnetism, Mr Boomslang is established as one of Zimbabwe’s leading African Pop artists.

Born Farhaan Khan, Mr Boomslang is a bona fide proponent of the Afrobeats, R'n'B and Pop movement that has excited and fascinated the music world in equal measure in the past few years.

During his hey days working with brother, Bkay, the duo’s debut project, “In the Beginning”, went straight to the top of the charts in the country.

In the same year, the duo packed their bags and flew out to set base in the UK where they are currently based.

As a Pop Duo, Bkay and Mr Boomslang took honours in breaking into the UK Top 30 charts with their single "You Know Its Right".

To date, they have won numerous awards and shared the stage with the likes of Jay Sean, Omarion, Sisqo, Mr Vegas, Sean Paul, Oliver Mtukudzi, Andy Brown, Sean Kingston, Ne-Yo only to mention a few.

As a record stable, ‘Boomslang Production’ has helped launch the careers of rapper Munetsi, singer and Songwriter Ze Juan Solo, Up and Coming R'n'B rapper, Jonah and Tinashe Makura.
