THE long awaited and much talked about Southern African Music & Arts (S.A.M.A.) Festival UK is now upon with award winning artists raring to go.

Billed THIS IS IT TOUR the festival will see revellers from as far as the broader Europe converging in the UK this Eastertide weekend.

According to the organisers, enquiries have been overwhelming and all advanced tickets are sold out although the majority are expected to pay at the door.

A statement from Y2K said all the artists were already in UK for the show. Featured are Jah Prayzah & 3rd Generation, Winky D & Vigilance, Selmor Mtukudzi in combination with Tendai Manatsa backed by The Green Arrows and UK favourite son Tocky Vibes and haasati atanga kupera saka ma1.

Mtukudzi and Manatsa crew have been in UK for over a week rehearsing, a testimony to their commitment and seriousness to the task ahead.

“They will be rocking, proper class acts that you cannot afford to miss. Y2K is therefore privileged and proud to be hosting the cream of Zimbabwe.

Raring to go ... Jah Prayzah and colleagues

“When Jah Prayzah / Team Masoja meet Winky D a.k.a. The Ninja President / Gafa then you know it is all fireworks and cacophonous dance floor. Gafa rapindira! We advise people to come early otherwise you will miss out,” the statement said.

Y2K said the gigs will kick off this Friday at Oasis, London Capital and then on Saturday it will at Athena, Leicester. The venues are all luxurious and comfortable. London venue will provide a Zim style BBQ all night.

Doors for both London and Leicester gigs will open at 19:30 hours with the first act on stage at 21:15 hours.

“If you come with a mentality of a “late thing” then you will certainly miss out. The programme is very much on point so as to give all artists enough play time. We have been advertising since July 2015 and for those attending we hope you have done your homework to enjoy this absorbing experience,” said Y2K.

For further enquiries, said Y2K, people should call 07525741060 / 07877196217.
