THE UK summer is about to sizzle with four major entertainment events scheduled for the month of August, starting this weekend.

South Africa’s DJ Fresh arrives in London on Friday -- the biggest attraction to a family fun day at Chocolate City on Saturday afternoon which will culminate in an indoors gig.

While Fresh -- a DJ for 5FM -- turns up the heat in London, a boat full of revellers dressed in traffic light colours (green for single; amber for not sure and red for taken) will be sailing away into the English south coast night from Portsmouth.

It’s a real dilemma for DJ Fresh fans and boat cruise enthusiasts – victims of the latest own goal by bungling promoters.

Such is the fun choice that if you are not taken in by DJ Fresh and the boat party, you have to wait just a week before the celebrated South African DJ Euphonik – Fresh’s business partner – takes to the turntables in Coventry on August 20.

If that too is not to your taste, perhaps you want a red carpet or formal event, this year’s Miss Zimbabwe UK is held in Luton on August 28 hosted by Eric Knight and Ezra Tshisa Sibanda.
