IF HIS new single is anything to go by, then a new Zimbabwean gem has been unearthed – in New Zealand.

Twenty-five-year-old TK Paradza has stormed the New Zealand charts with his debut single, Mr Liar, featuring Deach from the country’s top hip-hop band, Smashproof.

Wellington, New Zealand, is a long way from his modest upbringing in the mining town of Shurugwi, Midlands Province, and TK, born Takudzwa Paradza, is setting himself a further target of conquering the world with his stupendous voice first deployed in praise and worship sessions for his local church.

The Zimbabwean, who says he has been singing since age 12, found himself the courage to launch a career as a pop star last year after winning the Telethon New Zealand Big Audition singing talent show.

His first effort is an honest R&B track beautifully melted in Deach’s rapping. The video too is a testament to effort – placing Paradza well at the top of the pile of Zimbabwe’s breakthrough artists.

Paradza, who describes himself as a “self marketing, self promoting and self managing artist”, told New Zimbabwe.com that the single would shortly be available for sale on iTunes and 106 other digital distribution stores in a fortnight. [To order Mr Liar now CLICK HERE]
