The Truth About: Alick Macheso

ALICK Macheso has been warned he is “signing his own death warrant” after it was revealed his mistress is MARRIED to a violent thug who is serving a 20-year jail term for armed robbery.

The sungura star revealed last week that he was making Tafandwa Mapako, 28, his second wife.

Macheso, 42, claimed his current wife Nyadzisai had welcomed her love rival into their family – although the mum-of-five insists she only knows Mapako as her daughter’s friend.

Now it has been revealed convincing his wife to accept the second woman should be the least of the Zvakanaka Zvakadaro star’s concerns: there is a violent fiend who is ready to kill for his woman.

A friend of jailed Shepherd Mhizha aka Major Sanyati told the H-Metro newspaper: “There was once a shoot-out at Tafadzwa and Major Mhizha’s house in Zimre Park in 2002.

“He is violent and does not hesitate to shoot. I feel for Macheso as I know that he will be in trouble when Major Sanyati returns.”

Mhizha was jailed in 2005 after he and two other thugs, both now dead, carried out a string of armed robberies in Greendale and Borrowdale – making off with property worth Z$10,6 million.

In the raids, the pistol-waving trio tied up the houses’ occupants with electrical cables before helping themselves to their property.
