NORMAL service resumed in the Big Brother Africa All Stars this week after Zimbabwe’s ‘Diamond Boy’ Munya notched up his seventh eviction nomination in eight weeks.
Munya goes up against Mozambican lass Jennifer ‘Jen’ Mussanhane, who picked up her first nomination.
Six times Munya has been nominated and six times Africa has stood by him. The 24-year-old from Harare will be hoping the love affair continues on Eviction Sunday against a formidable housemate whose only previous exit in the Big Brother series was voluntary.
Jen, a 23-year-old International Politics graduate, was a housemate in the 2009 Big Brother Africa – the fourth in the series – but walked out citing “bad news from home”.
Down to six from the original 14 housemates, competition is hotting up among the housemates who used some strategic voting in the M-Net hit show this week.
Munya nominated Jen saying she has not been nominated before and then added Mwisho because he is tight competition.
Mwisho unknowingly returned Munya’s favour and put him up saying that he had nominated Munya before, so it was easier to put someone that he has selected before. He then chose Kaone as his second choice saying he has been nominated before, but has never "arrived" yet.
Uti went for Jen, also saying she has never been up for eviction before. He then went for Munya after some careful thinking and an eeny meeny miny moe game.
Meryl chose to put Jen up despite the Mozambican’s efforts to get close to her recently, She then chose Munya, saying she was using Jen as a pawn to see what Uti would do when he has to switch, if Jen is up against Munya.
Jen put up Uti and Meryl and said it’s a game, no personal reasons.
Kaone put Meryl and Uti up for possible eviction for obvious reasons following the weekend drama. He was possibly dishonest about the reasons, choosing to say that he chose Uti as he could save himself as Head of House and Meryl for consistency. He has been nominating her every week, without fail, since the first week of nominations sessions.
