DANCEHALL star Winky D has confirmed three UK gigs later this month – his second tour of the country in six months.

The 28-year-old ‘Musarova Bigman’ star will share the stage with Decibel, Jusa Dementor, BKay & Kazz, Gappy Ranks and Ogga Katalog on the three dates in Leeds, London and Coventry.

Winky D performed to a full house in Lodon in March, and subsequent tours of the United States, Canada, Australia and Malaysia have confirmed his growing stock as one of Zimbabwe’s top music ambassadors.

According to a schedule released by Y2K Entertainment Promotions and DJ King Alfred, Winky D’s opening gig will be an August 26 stop at The Wardrobe in Leeds.

He performs at London’s Club 19 on Saturday, August 27 before concluding his tour at Club Ice in Coventry on August 28.

Winky D’s manager, Bartholomew Vera, said: “Winky always does the unexpected and the last time he performed in the UK what happened was also unexpected with him giving a great performance and people being turned away because it was a full house.

“We hope for another huge turnout because we’ve got new tunes like Kiswa Bhutsu. The Ninja President always has something up his sleeve.”
