HELL hath no fury like woman scorned, judging by Maneta Mazanhi’s nominations in Big Brother Africa this week.
The Zimbabwean inflicted revenge on her compatriot, Rockford ‘Roki’ Josphats, by putting him up for eviction, just a fortnight after he gave her similar treatment.
But Roki is safe for another week after a dramatic showdown between Sierra Leone’s Zainab and the Ghanaian comedian DKB ended with both housemates kicked off the M-Net TV show.
DKB slapped Zainab after a furious row. Big Brother intervened, hauling DKB to the Diary Room where he was told: “DKB, you have been disqualified from the game for contravening the violence rule. You must pack your bags immediately, and take them to Storeroom..."
Zainab, who sat curled in the Glass Room, would also face a similar fate. Big Brother told her: “Having reviewed the footage very carefully, Big Brother can come to no other conclusion than that your provocation of DKB contributed substantively to the incident.
“For this reason, Big Brother has concluded that you have also been disqualified. Once DKB has left the House, you too will pack your bags and take them to the storeroom. You will then say goodbye to your Housemates, and leave through the storeroom.”
Big Brother then decided to nullify the nominations and cancel Sunday’s eviction show “due to the regrettable events of the day”.
As fate would have it, DKB had earlier received the highest number of nominations with five, followed by Zainab with three. Goldie and Roki – who was nominated by South Africa’s Barbz and Maneta – had two each.
Maneta, Barbz, Lady May and Prezzo had picked one nomination each and were all safe even before DKB and Zainab’s ignominious exit.
