BIG Brother Africa louts Maneta Mazanhi and Rockford Josphats have made a joint radio appearance to apologise to the nation after being kicked off the M-Net TV show for fighting.

The two appeared ready to bury the hatchet and move on following the shameful scenes witnessed by millions of people across Africa on June 19.

Maneta, 21, and Roki, 27, were the first star guests on the new radio station Star FM which began broadcasts on Monday.

The pair faced uncomfortable questions from radio legend Tich Mataz.

Maneta said: “I am very sorry for what happened.”

She insisted that she was “cool” with Roki, whom she became acquainted to BEFORE they went on Big Brother.

Roki was also keen to stress that he had no hard feelings towards the Bulawayo lass, asking people to keep a perspective.

“It’s only a game show,” said the singer, who admitted he was disappointed to miss out on the US$300,000 top prize.

Roki said he had hoped his appearance on the show would give him international exposure with ambitions of an acting career, but he is no longer sure he achieved that.

Maneta, who wore black clothes hours before the showdown with Roki who splashed water on her weave before she retaliated by temporarily blinding him with bleach, insisted it was never her intention to cause the rumpus which got them both evicted.

“People fabricate when they say I wore black because I had planned for the events. I am truly sorry and I also extend my apologies to Roki,” she said.

She said it was “wonderful to be back home”, dismissing a charge by Mataz than some Zimbabweans thought she was “unpatriotic”.

Maneta also appeared on ZBC Star Kids TV show and PowerFM for a round of interviews.
