THE arrival of summer in the UK usually means a mushrooming of parties – any excuse to have fun in the sunshine
But one of the most enduring events has been the Kasiluv Boat party in London, which is in its third year.
On Saturday, dozens of fun lovers in summer-themed wear will set sail on the River Thames in the company of DJs, MCs, a fully stocked bar and a belting sound system.
The boat has three decks – with the bottom deck playing house and Afro beats, the middle deck offering a selection of dancehall, hip hop and R&B and the top deck with an open sitting area for pictures and relaxation.
The organiser of the party, the Northampton-based DJ Mkhukhwini, said: “If you come to one of our parties, you are guaranteed a lasting impression.
“There are few things that bring out more excitement than good music, good company and a constantly sailing boat in the middle of London.”
The boat will set sail from the Tower Millennium Pier at 8PM and return to dock after four hours. The party lovers will then head off to finish the night at the Minories Night Club.
