A STELLAR line-up of artists will grace Saturday night’s Gtel Face of Zimbabwe final at the Harare International Conference Centre.
Suluman Chimbetu, fresh from a two-week tour of the UK, will share the stage with urban grooves stars ExQ, Nox Guni and Winky D as the 12 finalists of the novel online beauty pageant and several wild-cards fight for the top prize.
The pageant, to be held under the theme ‘Embracing Technology in Celebrating Zimbabwe's Beauty’, is in its second year but the physical final is being held for the first time.
The pageant is expected to draw finalists from Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Turkey and Botswana.
The competition is based on online public voting with Zimbabweans around the world judging the contestants on photographs they submitted, with monthly winners being entered for the final.
On the judging panel will be the United States-based singer Cee Jay Besa, Ireland-based radio presenter Priscilla Nalana, the South Africa-based events co-ordinator Spiwe Sibiya, UK-based former Miss Valentine 2010 Caroline Kumbukami and 'I will Mary Myself’ actor Melgin Tafirenyika.
The queen will pick up a US$3,000 cash prize from sponsors G-Telecoms and Sleek Make UP. All the monthly winners will also get prizes.
