RUNAWAY Premier League leaders FC Platinum will test Dynamos’ mini-revival on Wednesday when the two teams clash at Rufaro.
Dynamos ended a five-match run of draws on Sunday with a 2-0 victory away to Tripple B in Zvishavane.

But coach Callisto Pasuwa knows defeat to Tenant Chilumba’s men could cast the champions 10 points further adrift with only seven matches played this season.

FC Platinum, only in their third season in the top flight, have yet to beat Dynamos in four meetings – a psychological barrier which they will be aiming to breach as they hunt their first Premier League title.

Dynamos skipper Murape Murape said: “Obviously, we are quite aware that FC Platinum are more determined than ever to beat us for the first time. We should not expect an easy game because they are doing very well. For them to be on the top of the table means they are a strong side.

“But we are Dynamos. We have never played an easy game because everyone wants to win against Dynamos and that is why we have not had it easy.

“Our main concern is that we need to continue winning consistently and I believe it is possible if we carry that spirit of self-belief. Our goal this year is to win the championship again.”

With Platinum’s away in Harare, their closest pursuers Highlanders will be at their ground in Mandava taking on Tripple B who are forced for a second consecutive match to play at a neutral ground because their Dulibadzimu Stadium in Beitbridge was ruled to be too small by the PSL for matches involving Dynamos, Highlanders and CAPS United.

At Luveve Stadium, Chicken Inn – without a win in three league outings – are playing host to CAPS United who are aiming to make it three out of three since head coach Taurai Mangwiro returned from his suspension for match fixing.
