IN-FORM Highlanders shot stopper Munyaradzi Diya has been has been called-up to the Zimbabwe squad to play Malawi in an international friendly match on May 25.

Diya has taken over from Ariel Sibanda as Highlanders first choice goalkeeper to impress Warriors coach Klaus-Dieter Pagels. Also included in Pagels squad is the in-form FC Platinum midfield duo of Ali Sadiki and Charles Sibanda.

The match will be handled by Warriors assistant coach Lloyd Mutasa and Under 23 head coach Peter Ndlovu as Pagels will be away in Germany for family commitments.

The match forms part of Zimbabwe’s preparations for the Cosafa Castle Cup in Zambia in July and the CHAN qualifiers in the same month.

After missing the Zambia friendly last month, Ocean Mushure makes a comeback to the national team fold. Monomotapa midfielder Kuda Musharu and Chicken Inn’s Thabani Goredema have also been included.

Chicken Inn defender Felix Chindungwe, a former goalkeeper at high school, has retained his place together with striker Last Chibwiro who is struggling in front of goal at Black Mambas.
