Zimbabwe has appeared in six finals and won four titles since the inauguration of the tournament in 1997. Now under Pagels, Zimbabwe would be out to claim a fifth Cosafa crown.

The tournament returns after a three-year absence and Zimbabwe who arrive in Zambia as defending champions after winning the 2009 edition they hosted- begin their campaign at the quarter final stage with a date against the Flames of Malawi on 13 July.
