FC PLATINUM beat Monomotapa 3-1 on Saturday to reach the final of the BancABC Sup8r at Barbourfields.

Charles Sibanda created the opener for Donald Ngoma in the 42nd minute but Monomotapa pulled level shortly after the break through Obey Mwarehari after a mistake by goalkeeper, Francis Tizayi.

Man of the match Sibanda, playing in his home town, then thrust Platinum in the lead in the 75th minute, fiercely lashing in a loose ball from the edge of the box.

Ngoma then burst into the Monomotapa box eight minutes from fulltime and his cross was finished by the unlucky Monomotapa defender, Last Sithole.

Platinum will play the winners of the other semi-final between Dynamos and Shabanie Mine also being played at Barbourfields on Sunday.
