DYNAMOS could be without vice-captain Tawanda Muparati, who is nursing an injury picked from the drawn game against Triangle in Chiredzi, when they host Shabanie Mine at Rufaro in Wednesday’s league game.

The Dynamos star midfielder did light training on Tuesday but he was still to pass a late fitness test. Muparati limped off with an injury in the 2-2 draw against Triangle in Chiredzi.

Shabanie held Dynamos to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Maglas Stadium in Zvishavane-one of their ten draws in the campaign so far.

The Zvishavane outfit also dumped Dynamos from the BancABC Super 8r Cup following a 1-0 defeat and Dynamos still have sad memories of their meetings with Shabanie this term.

With defence stalwart Partson Jaure also out of the match as he serves the last match of his suspension following  the red card he was given against Highlanders two weeks back, Dynamos will need to roll up their sleeves if they are to grab maximum points.

To compound to their woes, Dynamos will also be without striker Clive Kawinga who has been ruled out of the match owing to injury.

Big defender Oscar Machapa who has been a revelation since joining the champions from South Africa is also out of the match as he serves his suspension.

Skipper Murape Murape will also not play in the match against Shabanie because of suspension.

Assistant coach Richard Chihoro said Muparati started light training on Tuesday but will have to pass a late fitness test.

“He was hurt during the match against Triangle. He could not finish the match so we are not sure whether he will play or not because he is still to be examined by the doctor. He has to pass a late fitness test,” said Chihoro.

The Dynamos coach, however said they had enough cover for Jaure with Victor Kamhuka, utility player Thomas Magorimbo and Augustine Mbara all available.

“Cliff Sekete has been playing well in most of the games he has featured so far and we will be looking forward to him as well,” said Chihori

For their part, Shabanie will also be without William Ngonya who is suspended for picking up three yellow cards.

Only three matches are remaining before the conclusion of the season and Dynamos lead the premiership race with 49 points while Harare City are second with the same number of points because of an inferior goal difference.
